DEGREES IN SPAIN

If you are a student coming from a pre-university education system other than the Spanish one, you will need to meet each of the requirements to study one of ESIC's University Degrees. In this section we explain step by step how to enroll at ESIC.

In order for you to be able to plan in the best possible way and have time to prepare your documents, we would like to remind you that academic courses in Spain start in September and end in June.

Even if you have not completed the Bachillerato, IB Diploma, A levels, Baccalaureate, Maturitá or equivalent educational system, you will be able to take the admission tests and subsequently reserve your place, until you complete your documentation on the established dates.

Language requirements to study our degrees

It is essential that the linguistic requirement is met by the candidate in order to be admitted to any of our programs.

• QUALIFICATIONS IN SPANISH: Minimum B2 (Spanish)
• QUALIFICATIONS IN ENGLISH: Minimum B2 (English)
• BILINGUAL LEARNING DEGREES: Minimum B2 (English and Spanish)

If you have an official language certificate no more than two years old, it will be valid and you will not need to take our internal language test. If you do not have an official language certificate, an internal level test will be done through the ESIC Language Area.

Valid qualifications for English: Cambridge English (First, Advanced and Proficiency), IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC.

Valid qualifications for Spanish: DELE B2, DELE C1 and DELE C2.

To start the admission process you must request an appointment with the admissions team. You can do this online or by phone. Choose the campus where you wish to do your undergraduate studies.

The admission process can be done online or in person at any of our locations and consists of a personal interview, a business case study and an English test*.

*English test is not exclusive for courses taught in Spanish.

1. REQUEST YOUR APPOINTMENT.

You will need to tell us what day and time you would like to test. Choose the modality you prefer to take the test.

2. CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENT.

Once you have requested your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with all the steps to follow.

3. ADMISSION TESTS.

No previous preparation is necessary. On the date and time requested, you will receive an email with a link to our platform if you take the test online. If you take the test in person, we will be waiting for you at the Undergraduate Admissions Department of the selected Campus.

4. RESOLUTION.

Once all the phases of the admission tests have been completed, we will inform you of the resolution within 72 hours (3 working days).

The ESIC admission test can be taken in either Spanish or English, depending on the language in which you are going to study the university degree. The duration is approximately one and a half hours and no previous preparation is required. The admission test is divided into four phases:

1. Personal Interview: its purpose is to get to know the candidate's profile, his/her affinity with the chosen career and his/her degree of motivation to study at ESIC.
2. Business Case: this test focuses mainly on the candidate's writing, reasoning and expression skills and not so much on knowledge or mastery of the subject matter.
3. English or Spanish test: it will allow to know the candidate's language level. English-speaking students applying to study a degree program in English or Spanish-speaking students applying to study a degree program in Spanish will not need to take the test, as well as those candidates who have an official language certificate.

It will be important that you have the following documentation (either in digital format for online proof or physical) ready a few days before requesting your appointment:

• Passport or NIE.
• High School or equivalent educational system grades.
• Requirement of Legal Access to the Spanish University (Homologation of the Definitive Foreign Baccalaureate or Definitive UNED Accreditation). In case of wanting to study the "Higher Degree in Global Marketing", it will not be necessary to have access to the Spanish University, but it will be necessary to have the baccalaureate or corresponding
• Official language certificate (If you do not have an official English certificate, you can take our in-house language test).

The reservation fee must be paid once the candidate has received the notification of the admission decision and before the date indicated therein. If the payment is not made on time, the place will not be guaranteed. In the above mentioned communiqué the steps to follow for the realization of the reservation of place and the following procedures will be indicated.

The reservation fee will be refunded in the event that the student has not passed the Bachillerato, Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior or similar or the corresponding university entrance exam.

The tuition fee will have to be paid once the student has one of the requirements for legal access to the Spanish university (Homologación del Bachillerato Extranjero Definitiva or Acreditación UNED definitiva). For this purpose, the Undergraduate Student Services Office will inform the student of all the steps to be followed.

The enrollment period may vary depending on each ESIC campus, we recommend that you contact the corresponding campus to find out the exact enrollment dates.

ESIC has an agreement of collaboration with a Consultant of Homologation and Legalization of academic documents for your access. This agency is an expert in obtaining legal requirements for university access (UNED ACCREDITATION and HOMOLOGATION OF DEFINITIVE FOREIGN HIGH SCHOOL EXAMINATION).

From ESIC we offer this alternative for you to process your legalization of documents in an easier and safer way. This procedure can take a long time and in the case of missing documents, your application may be denied by the corresponding agency.

It is important to note that if you do not have these legal access requirements, which are necessary for your enrollment, you will not be able to begin your studies with us. Depending on the pre-university education system you come from, you will need one legal requirement or another.

IMPORTANT: THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORT takes between 3 and 6 months to issue the resolution (mostly 6 months), so our recommendation is that you do the paperwork as soon as possible so that your Homologación del Bachiller Extranjero Definitiva is on time and you can enroll without any problem.

* ESIC is a private center attached to different Universities in each of its campuses, so the admission and final enrollment of international students to study an Official Degree is subject to the requirements, regulations and fees established by these universities for the corresponding academic year.

In the case of wanting to study the Higher Degree in Global Marketing the candidate will not need the two previous requirements for access to the Spanish university, it will only be necessary to submit the Certificate of Baccalaureate approved and apostilled.
