The laboratories of ESIC Business & Marketing School promote research and support the teaching of the faculty. The activity of the laboratories is open to all students and their results are disseminated in scientific and dissemination articles, but also in case studies, round tables and workshops.
The laboratory seeks to generate a leap in quality and quantity in the field of research and teaching, combining both academic and applied research, adding value to knowledge. In addition, it wants to create a new editorial fund of cases that deal with current problems that allow the development of new concepts, business ideas and key skills for students; as well as focus research in areas of interest for application in the classroom, to achieve impact on society and generate content that support the work of the teacher and revert to the students.
Therefore, the laboratory is constituted as an internal structure for the creation of content for teaching, continuous over time and with a multiplying effect each year, which encourages the creation and use of the case method in the classroom. The laboratory is organized through different roles played by recognized professors and researchers. Specifically, it is composed of a Mentor, two Principals and six Associates, each with different functions.
The cases developed are published in ESIC editorial, although they can be published in other media if permission is obtained from the publisher. The ESIC Case Method Lab begins with the "Case Writing Program" training.
