TESTIMONIALS

Meritxel Serra

LOCS Alumni

"For me, a clearly differentiating factor is the training model that ESIC has. On the one hand, it has teachers who are active with a very high level of knowledge, and who know how to bring teaching down to the real world and transmit to the student all the knowledge they have and how it is applied on a day-to-day basis. Secondly, ESIC is a school that is committed to innovation and a transformation of the educational model that makes it much more agile and much more adapted for any student who is active or who is fresh out of college."

MASTER'S ACADEMIC PROGRAM

Project Management

In this module, students must know and know how to use the concepts, methods and tools related to Project Management, in such a way that allows them to carry out the strategic initiatives of their organization in an efficient, effective and solvent way, knowing how to act independently and in coordination with the rest of the organization.

Business ethics and sustainability

The purpose of this course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for our students to make business decisions and act ethically and responsibly with society, the environment, the individual and the different stakeholders in a global and multicultural environment, applying high standards of respect for human values and cultural diversity. In addition, they will develop the skills and knowledge to be able to measure the economic impact of these decisions, whether or not they are taken.

Business strategy

The purpose of this course is to initiate the development of the strategic thinking of the company, which are its fundamental elements and the necessary elements to understand the current and future environment.

Innovation

This course will focus on how to generate and encourage business opportunities by thinking differently from current business approaches. The module will put innovation at the center of value creation for companies in today's disruptive and exponentially accelerating environment.

Digital transformation

The first part of the course enables students to develop the ability to diagnose the degree of digital maturity of a company, the market in which it competes and the impact of the use of data and the main emerging technologies in order to propose strategic lines of action to ensure the proper implementation and management of the company's resources and capabilities. The second part of the course explores how strategies can provide superior value through the introduction of new technologies, the knowledge of these, the use of data for decision making, the organizational and cultural change that companies must face to ensure success in this digital metamorphosis that for some companies could mean their disappearance if they do not carry it out.

Management Finance

Structure of the main Financial Statements: Balance Sheet and Income Statement. Interpretation of financial and accounting information. Basic concepts of Income and Costs and their classification. Basic principles of monetization of services. Financial and Profitability Ratios. Budget Planning and Control.

Impact of CS on the income statement

The impact on the income statement is uneven and its application is not always direct, but it is influential, which justifies the development of this seminar with the clear objective of measuring the financial accounting implication of logistics on the income statement.

Procurement and e-sourcing (I)

The subject of Procurement and Sourcing, (procurement management), is responsible for the acquisition of resources, inputs, supplies or raw materials necessary for the proper functioning of the company. The Procurement and Sourcing course is structured in two main topics: (I) Purchasing Management and (II) Stock Management. Purchasing Management is responsible for managing the purchase and procurement of the materials necessary for the manufacture of the company's final products and the necessary inputs to support management.

Procurement and e-sourcing (II)

Inventory management is the planning and management of inventory. This management helps to effectively manage the stocks of the company's products used in production as well as supplies needed for management and prevents the inability of operational capacity to deliver the desired products.

Intralogistics

One of the most critical parts of any company's supply chain is Intralogistics. Once the company's stock policy has been decided, it is necessary to define the warehouse system that the company needs to be able to cover the service needs demanded by the company (which are given by the market and the customers). From this moment on, the whole transport system can be designed.

LEAN Management

The aim is to make the "Lean Manufacturing" tools understood as a set of techniques and technologies for the elimination of everything that does not add value in production processes and operations, highlighting the importance of understanding the tools for modeling and evaluating production, procurement, logistics and distribution processes. In short, to develop strategies and operations for process improvement and resource efficiency.

Production management

Production management comprises a set of strategic and tactical processes. Starting with product design, production plant design, procurement, finished product stocks and allocation of human and material resources.

Retail management

Retail has become increasingly important thanks to the development of e-commerce and urban distribution. Many sectors are involved, especially the FMCG sector.

Transportation and international operations

Globalization, the ever increasing demand for products, the idea of stocking more raw materials by importing companies, etc., is generating an increase in ever larger capacities to be able to supply the international global market, as well as increasingly sophisticated infrastructures in all means of transport to adapt not only to current times but also to the future.

E-logistic

Differentiating characteristics of the logistics market adapted to e-commerce, its characteristics and what makes it a disruptive element within traditional logistics activities. E-Logistics is seen as the integration of logistics companies with the seller, but also with the buyer as the only way to succeed in the sector. Great importance is given to the set of professional opportunities that the e-commerce sector offers in the field of logistics, where many niche companies are focusing on the development of the "last mile", a weak point of traditional transport companies and one of the main purchase drivers in e-commerce.

Distribution and last mile

The aim is to analyze and build the operational processes that characterize Express logistics, based on the main logistics integrators. The origin of the international express logistics sector and its evolution in recent years will be explained, with special attention to the influence that ecommerce is having on this sector. In addition, the current logistics trends that place this sector at the heart of the development of the transport sector in recent years will be included.

Communication and leadership

The current context modifies the way we communicate and interact, the diversity of people we address, as well as the means to use to transmit messages, share, influence and achieve our goals. The current environment and organizations require an adaptive leadership that considers not only the external aspects but also the personal profile of the manager. Within them, communication and listening skills (feedback) are increasingly important in plural, multicultural and globalized environments. During this course students will learn to know their leadership style and how to exercise it in different environments. They will also learn and use the fundamental elements and structures to build clear and irresistible messages that will allow them to approach communication with more confidence and know how to effectively manage situations of doubt, questions or confrontation.

Critical thinking

To help the student to differentiate between the symptoms of problems in order to identify those decisions that have a greater impact on the business, minimizing the organizational, time and financial effort and cost. Also, to provide the necessary analysis tools to be able to quantify these problems, differentiating those that are business/economic from those that are personal/organizational problems.

Christian Humanism

We can define Christian Humanism as a philosophical current that has the person at its center - personalism - within the community, where the person is fully humanized and fulfilled.

ERP

SAP Hana (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing; High Performance Analytic Appliance), a class of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) computer systems, accelerates the operation of analytics applications, enabling simultaneous data work, a technological experience that encompasses all information management through real-time applications, useful for SMEs as well as large companies.

The group work will allow the development of group work and the contents of the subjects that are being studied throughout the course. Throughout the program there are two group works that must be presented and defended in court.

Through the development of the Project, participants are expected to be able to: Apply the knowledge acquired during the Program and understand the most complex and cutting-edge business issues, Use creative and innovative approaches to implement concrete and measurable improvements in business practice, Develop thinking and make informed decisions on complex issues related to professional business ethics, Demonstrate the relationship between theory and practice, Demonstrate effective and innovative leadership in strategic problem solving, influencing and supporting all parties involved in the process, Identify and use the most appropriate relevant literature, resources, and innovative research and analysis techniques, Present ideas and defend feasible and viable arguments with originality and creativity.
