Article 8 of Decree 100/1999, of July 12, 1999, of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Community of Madrid, establishes the terms of the assignment of the ESIC Campus in Madrid to the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid.
Through Decree 154/1999 of September 17, 1999, of the Valencian Government, the terms of the affiliation of Esic Valencia to the Miguel Hernández University of Elche were established.
By Agreement of November 17, 2015, the Government of Aragon authorized the assignment of ESIC to San Jorge University and by Agreement of July 12, 2016, the Government of Aragon authorized the implementation and operation of the Degree in Marketing, by the Private University "San Jorge", in classroom mode, from the 2016-2017 academic year, in its attached center ESIC.

In 1989 ESIC, together with the most established schools in Spain, founded the AEEDE (Spanish Association of Representatives of Business Management Schools) to respond to the demands of quality and service in management training.
The AEEDE establishes internationally accepted principles and standards of quality to guarantee minimum training standards that allow students to perform their professional careers optimally. These principles and standards are articulated in the following aspects:
- Design and planning of the programs offered by the Schools.
- Composition (qualifications, dedication regime, etc.), selection and development of the teaching staff of the Schools (also the instructional and research activities to be performed).
- Processes developed by the center such as planning processes, student admissions, research, student evaluation systems, job placement facilities for graduates and school relations with the business community.
- Infrastructure and material resources necessary to develop the school's activities.
