Since July 2006, ESIC, through its Quality Committee (delegated Commission of the Board of Directors), has maintained an active policy of continuous improvement in the three main areas of its activity (Teaching, Research and Management).
ESIC has developed multiple activities in relation to National and International Quality Associations of reference, of the sector and multisectorial, as well as accreditation/evaluation processes in multiple Quality Management Reference Models. As a sample of some of the actions carried out during this period, a brief summary is listed below:
| July 2006 | ESIC is an active member of the Spanish Association for Quality AEC. ESIC is an active member of the Excellence in Management and Innovation Club. |
| September 2006 | ESIC is a member of the Quality in Education Committee of the Spanish Association for Quality AEC. |
| March 2007 | ESIC obtiene la Certificación Norma ISO 9001:2008 en sus Programas MBA y el área ESIC Idiomas. ESIC forma parte del Foro Excelencia y Foro Innovación del Club Excelencia en Gestión e Innovación. ESIC es admitido por la Asociación de Escuelas de Negocios y Universidades EMBA Council, después de un proceso de admisión riguroso y el cumplimiento de los criterios de calidad que establecen para formar parte de dicha Asociación. |
| May 2007 | May 2007 ESIC attends the Annual Congress of AMBA Business Schools and Universities, a benchmark in the formation of MBA programs, in Moscow. |
| October 2007 | ESIC organizes in its Pozuelo de Alarcón Campus (Madrid) together with the AEC, a Conference on "Accreditation and Certification for Educational Quality". |
| July 2008 | ESIC obtains the CEL Accreditation granted by the EFMD to its Postgraduate Programs developed under the Management Simulators. |
| September 2008 | ESIC renews its ISO 9001:2008 Standard Certification in its MBA Programs and ESIC Languages area, and extends its scope to the entire area of Postgraduate, Executive Education and Programs under Technological Platform. ESIC is part of the governing body of the Quality in Education Committee. |

| March 2009 | ESIC is a member of the Governing Body of the Excellence in Management and Innovation Club. |
| July 2009 | ESIC renews its ISO 9001:2008 Standard Certification in the Postgraduate, Executive Education, Technology Platform Programs, and ESIC Languages areas, and extends its scope to the Undergraduate area. ESIC joins the Social Values Forum promoted by the Excellence in Management and Innovation Club. |
| November 2009 | ESIC is part of the Human Capital Forum of the Excellence in Management and Innovation Club. ESIC attends the III Conference on Excellence in University Management at the University of Cadiz, organized by the Excellence in Management and Innovation Club. |

| July 2013 | The Quality Management of ESIC is selected by ANECA to be part of the Evaluation Committee of Experts that evaluate in Pilot Phase 7 Universities for the Certification of Implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System under Audit Accreditation organized by ANECA. |
| September 2013 | ESIC obtains the Docentia Accreditation for its Teaching Evaluation Model granted by ANECA and under the guidelines set out in the European Higher Education Area. |
| July 2014 | ESIC obtains a POSITIVE to the Implementation of the ESIC Quality System under the AUDIT Model granted by ANECA, under the Quality requirements established in the European Framework for Higher Education. |
| February 2016 | ESIC obtains the EPAS Accreditation granted by EFMD to the IMBA and MIM programs. |
| July 2016 | ESIC modifies its Organization and Procedures of the Quality, Accreditations and other Recognitions Unit. |
| 2016 | ESIC participates in the external audit carried out by ENQA to the Agency of Quality and University Prospective of Aragon - ACPUA to become members of ENQA and be part of the EQAR register. |
| 2017 | ESIC attended the Seminar for QA agencies on the European dimension of quality assurance organized by ENQA. |
| 2017 | ESIC participates in the external audit conducted by ENQA to ANECA for renewal as a member of ENQA. |
| 2017 | ESIC participates with the paper "Internal Quality Assurance Systems. Implementation of IQAS in private and affiliated centers" in the meeting "Institutional accreditation, a challenge for the Spanish university system" organized by Fundación Madrid para el Conocimiento and UIMP. |
| 2018 | Los programas MBAs de ESIC obtienen la Acreditación internacional AMBA. Además, ESIC obtiene la Acreditación EPAS otorgada por EFMD a los programas MITB y MDM. ESIC participa en las ponencias de la Jornada “Una década de AUDIT y DOCENTIA en ANECA: evolución y futuro” organizada por ANECA. También ESIC participa en las ponencias del “Programa de Formación sobre Sistemas de Gestión de Calidad. Siscal” dirigido a todo el personal de las Unidades de Calidad de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. ESIC renueva sus renueva su Certificación Norma ISO 9001:2015 con ampliación de alcance a ICEMD Empresas. |
