Desde detrás del mostrador, el tendero mantenía una perspectiva general de la tienda de comestibles. Mediante libros de cuentas y su propia memoria, gestionaba su base de conocimientos para que tanto Juan como Pedro recibiesen un servicio óptimo.
De este modo el tendero creaba valor para ambos y ellos, eran valiosos para el tendero. Sin embargo, ahí termina toda la analogía.
