Last Thursday, April 19, the Hackathon Digital Business took place at the University Campus of ESIC Barcelona. This event was organized in collaboration with the VISIBLE Foundation and its president Patricia Ripoll, an organization dedicated to fight against the social invisibility of certain diseases or specific conditions. The main objective of the hackathon was to develop innovative solutions to combat this problem.

The social invisibility of certain diseases or conditions is a very real problem that affects many people. Often, these diseases are little known and therefore do not receive the attention and support they need. The VISIBLE Foundation works to change this situation and to ensure that these people are not ignored and marginalized.

The challenge presented to students at the hackathon was to develop a solution to combat the social invisibility of these diseases or conditions. Participants had to work as a team and collaborate to create an innovative and effective solution. To do so, they used the Design Thinking methodology, which allowed them to approach the problem creatively and seek solutions from different perspectives.

During the hackathon, students had the opportunity to use different technological resources to develop their solutions. This included the possibility of using software tools for design and programming, as well as the opportunity to connect with experts in different fields for advice and support.

The atmosphere during the hackathon was very dynamic and exciting. Students worked tirelessly to present innovative and creative solutions. The result was impressive, with solutions that included mobile applications, web platforms and information systems. All the projects presented were aimed at solving the problem of the social invisibility of these diseases or conditions, which demonstrated the commitment and dedication of the participants.

Subsequently, they had to choose the best project, unify proposals and forces in order to develop it correctly. Thus, Elephant was born. A community created to make the invisible visible, to share, disseminate, entertain, empathize, understand and learn the many faces of the elephant that everyone sees, but almost no one talks about.

Let's hope that this project continues to develop and we will keep you informed. Let's go for it, Elephant community!

Shall we inform you?
