Company, Management Skills, Human Resources
1st edition
This is a book that tries to highlight and enhance the value and importance of people in companies and organizations.
Workers are much more than human resources or labor, they are people. Workers are the axis and center of the organization, they are the main protagonists of any activity that is developed within the company, a clear differential factor, an important competitive advantage, they are the most valuable asset and, why not to say it more clearly: they are the human capital.
The author considers it necessary to transform the hierarchical management model, currently prevailing in most companies and organizations, and replace it with a new model of participative management where people occupy the relevant position and place that corresponds to them.
On this basis, the author considers that a revolution must be carried out in the labor sphere, whereby workers occupy a central place in the organizational structures of companies, recovering their dignity and the leading role that corresponds to them.
To this end, the book develops a new management model which, based on the premise that the ultimate aim of any company or organization is to satisfy customers profitably, obtain results and achieve the professional development and satisfaction of workers, establishes six basic lines of action, which are: leading by leading, promoting teamwork, encouraging participation, developing a motivational framework, facilitating communication-relationship channels and promoting the professional development of workers.
In short, this is a book on management and people, which aims to make people think and reflect on the changes that need to be carried out in the company and is aimed at businessmen, managers, trade union organizations and workers of today who wish to adapt to the new times and the new challenges that we must face.
