Synopsis and Contents

Design, Transformation and Change in Organizations discusses the essential pillars that enable peak performance in today's competitive business landscape: modern organizational design, proactive change management and attention to well-being.

Luis F. Toro structures these pillars in two parts, focusing first on design and transformation, and then on change management:

  • -Organizational design is key to driving performance and achieving strategic objectives in the competitive business world. By aligning all elements of the organization, an internal structure is achieved that defines roles, reduces ambiguity and motivates employees to achieve higher levels of performance.
  • -In this dynamic and globalized environment, traditional structures have evolved. Change management is an unavoidable necessity, where managers are agents of transformation.

He closes the first part with a concern for employee behavior, and the second for managing work stress, which has often been seen as a necessary evil, but has negative repercussions on business operations. It is essential to create a healthy work environment by adjusting workload, designing meaningful roles and encouraging participation in decision making.
